Dragonflies evolve.

They are very adaptable ...

… they begin life in water, move to land and then air. They are flexible – they can fly forward, backward and sideways. They are both vulnerable and strong. They are survivors, having existed on earth for hundreds of millions of years - surviving with and beyond dinosaurs.

They are able to see around things by looking from different angles, using their ability to transform colours and lights by reflecting and refracting them. Their colours take time to develop, reflecting the idea that with maturity our true colours come forth.

Dragonflies show us that life is not always what it appears to be, and that we may be more adaptable to our environment than we realize.

Dragonflies protect by eating the pesky mosquitoes we encounter, that nourish them.

Dragonflies are symbols of graceful change.
